Nestlé Recognized at the Conscious Company Awards for its Purposeful Leadership

CEO believes in the power of his people and the ability to embrace change as a key enabler for growth.

Nestlé has been recognized as one of the Top Companies at this year’s Conscious Company Awards. The awards ceremony, which was held last night, is organized annually to celebrate companies whose leadership is committed to maintaining their integrity, ethics, and value systems and being conscientious about people.

Commenting on the win, Bruno Olierhoek, Chairman and Managing Director at Nestlé East and Southern Africa Region (ESAR), said the award underscores Nestlé’s commitment to leadership and personal responsibility, which is one of the company’s core business principals. “For me a conscious company is having conscious leadership internally, but also very conscious of its organization role and or impact to the communities at large. We are working on both and that is our Creating Shared Value/ REAL (Realizing Empowered African Livelihoods) community development model. It is an honor to be recognized as a conscious leader who seeks to make a meaningful difference by empowering those around me. I believe in the power of people and the ability to embrace change as a key enabler for growth. As a company, we pride ourselves in treating one another with respect and dignity, and we encourage everyone to take responsibility for their actions.”

Since Nestlé’s founding, its business practices have been defined by integrity, honesty, fair dealing and compliance with all laws. Nestlé has proven the ability to keep its core beliefs and core values, which are essential for long-term growth while adapting to an ever-changing external environment.
