Can you remember back to the beginning of the internet, and also back to the beginning of online shopping? If you can, then you remember how limited your options were. You could get books at Amazon. You could sell some of your stuff on eBay, and bid against others when you were looking for something particularly fitting for your needs. If you wanted to pay for something, however, your only options were to enter a credit card number.

Of course, that’s all different now. You can order groceries and power tools online. You can store payment options on a number of sites, and even just pay using a fingerprint recognition system on other sites.
