Tiger Brands: Packaging and Digital Awards

Tiger Brands scooped five prestigious awards at last week’s Gold Pack Awards and the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) South Africa’s Smarties Awards for 2019.

Tinkies were the big Tiger winners as they came back with three awards at the MMA’s winning all the categories they had entered. Tinkies won a Gold medal for Cross Mobile integration- Silver for Product /Services Launch and Gold for Brand Awareness.

Doom Power’s shelf ready cartoon took the silver award, while Jungle Plus-reusable jar came home with a bronze media in the overall food category at the Gold Pack Awards. Ace Phuthu Maize Meal also came back with a finalist medal on the food packaging category.

Marketing Director for Bakeries, Lorraine De Graaf said that the awards represented, “The success of Tinkies at the MMA Smarties awards is a continuation of the recognition the brand is receiving for a very successful digital campaign to support the launch of Tinkies Half & Half. It shows how much can be done on a small budget when you have a great partner agency and a funky creative idea that consumers connect with”.
