- Relocation to a modern 158 m² site enhances customer experience, operational efficiency and brand visibility
- Investment supports Rhenus’ long‑term expansion plans in Morocco
- New location positions Rhenus at the heart of Tanger Med’s fast‑growing industrial and logistics hub
The Rhenus Group has reinforced its presence in Morocco with the relocation of its Tangier office to a new 158 m² site, reflecting the company’s long‑term commitment to one of the country’s most dynamic logistics regions. The move marks an important milestone in Rhenus’ growth strategy, enabling closer proximity to customers, greater operational capacity and an upgraded working environment aligned with global brand standards.
A strategic relocation aligned with regional momentum
Situated near key industrial clusters, major manufacturers and the Tanger Med port complex, the new office places Rhenus at the heart of one of the Mediterranean’s most advanced logistics platforms.
According to the 2025 Tanger Med Port Activity Report, port performance reached record levels, including:
- 11.1 million TEUs handled (+8.4% vs. 2024)
- 535,203 trucks (+3.6%), driven by rising industrial and agri‑food exports
- 8.64 million tons of liquid bulk (+13%)
- 161 million tons of cargo throughput (+13.3% YoY)
- 1,319 mega‑ships (>290 m) received (+8.4%)
These results highlight Northern Morocco’s growing importance as a competitive logistics base for nearshoring and global supply chains, an environment where Rhenus is proactively strengthening its role.
The relocation also positions Rhenus closer to Tanger Automotive City, a global-scale industrial platform covering 800 hectares and supporting an ecosystem of more than 150 Tier 1, 2 and 3 automotive suppliers, with investments exceeding 4 billion USD and generating over 40,000 direct jobs.
Aligned with Rhenus’ regional ambitions
Effective 1 January 2026, the relocation reinforces Rhenus’ footprint in Morocco and supports its broader development strategy in the Maghreb. The improved site layout, increased capacity and enhanced visibility provide a strong foundation for upcoming initiatives.
Enhanced customer experience and streamlined operations
Designed to meet modern corporate standards, the new workspace strengthens collaboration between administrative and operational teams and offers customers:
- More convenient access for meetings, business reviews and workshops
- Faster decision-making enabled by immediate proximity to client clusters
- More consistent operations through improved cross-team coordination
While administrative teams and part of operations will now be based at the new office, Rhenus will continue to maintain an operational presence at the Compagnie Commerciale Charbonnière et Maritime (CCCM) center to ensure service continuity and high execution standards.
A workspace that reflects Rhenus’ maturity and brand identity
The previous premises no longer matched Rhenus’ operational maturity and global branding. The upgraded 158 m² site introduces modern meeting rooms, improved workstations and a professional environment aligned with the company’s international standards, enhancing both internal efficiency and external representation.
“This relocation reflects our long‑term commitment to Morocco and particularly to Northern Morocco. It reinforces our ambition to deliver consistent, high‑quality logistics solutions across the region,” said Javier Berenguer, Managing Director Overland Spain & Morocco.
The new Tangier office, located at 25 Avenue Youssef Ibn Tachfine, Immeuble Ibn Batouta, Bureau B3.09 (3rd floor), replaces the former premises at Bureau 7 Bloc “C”, 2ème étage, 4 Rue Méditerranée, Édifice COFICOM.
