- Founded in 1984, Retailability is a South African based group of retail brands including Edgars, Legit, Swagga, Beaver Canoe and Style.

- Delivering authentic and affordable fashion and beauty to the market remains the core focus of Retailability.
Retailability continues to grow its retail portfolio having recently announced the acquisition of Keedo, a trusted South African children’s clothing brand founded in 1993. With a substantial online offering and 20 stores located in Gauteng, Polokwane, Nelspruit, Durban, Pietermaritzburg, East London and Cape Town, Keedo has built a reputation of great quality children’s clothing.
“Keedo is a wonderful fit for our portfolio,” says Norman Drieselmann, Chief Executive Officer of Retailability, “I am truly excited to welcome this great South African brand into our Group. Our core focus is on creating good value for our fashion-conscious customers, without compromising on quality and this acquisition allows us to deliver on that intent.”
Keedo, started from humble beginnings, with Nelia Annandale, the founder and creative force behind the brand, being inspired by her twins to develop a product that would “serve the children of the world”.
“The acquisition of Keedo reinforces our strategy of supporting and building local brands. We continue to strive to serve all South Africans with affordable good quality fashion.” adds Drieselmann.
Asked what future plans for the brand were, Drieselmann commented, “We have a specific methodology that has worked well for us in turning brands around in the past, we will apply this to Keedo. Watch this space!”
Retailability, always under the radar, became better known after it acquired Edgars in 2020 and continued to look for opportunities. “We remain optimistic about retail in Africa and this investment is another sign of that mindset” says Drieselmann.
