Today, Danone Southern Africa announced that they have appointed marketing expert, Thandeka Ngqumeya, to join their team as Marketing Director for Southern Africa.
Thandeka has a strong track record in growing successful global brands on the local stage having worked previously for brands such as Kimberley Clark, L’Oreal, and for the past 10 years at Diageo.
“Thandeka has solid skills and experience in bringing innovation to the forefront of brand development and success and we believe that her passion for brand excellence matches our commitment to delivering brands to consumers that they can relate to and that meet their changing and diverse nutritional needs, across Southern Africa,” says Hercules Duvenage HR Director at Danone Southern Africa.
With a global, regional and local footprint in the marketing space, Thandeka has a keen focus on innovation and renovation strategies, to launch products that both address the business strategy but very importantly, meet the consumer’s needs.

With a marketing qualification from AAA School of Advertising and having recently completed her Executive MBA from IE Business School in Spain, Thandeka not only demonstrates a solid education in the marketing field but her expertise has also placed her as a finalist in the Accenture Rising Stars, and Africa Region MD’s Best Achievers, 2019 Awards.
