Mother and daughter duo, Patricia and Samantha Taylor of Life Retreat, have combined their love for all things health and wellness to bring the Cape an experience unlike anything else.
Situated at Lourensford Wine Estate in what has been referred to as one of the most beautiful places on earth, the duo have created a three phase concept to allow visitors the opportunity to experience all their health and wellness goals, in one place.
The three phases are:
Phase one – Movement Studio:
The Life Retreat Movement Studio combines body, mind, breath and movement in a beautiful setting and offers Yoga, Pilates, Nia, Dancing, Kiddies Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Zumba, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Bootcamp, Ballet Barre and meditation classes. All classes are curated by Life Retreat’s movement partner, Ryan Edmonds.
The ability to offer this variety of classes in one place is something the Taylor duo believes is important to fulfill the needs of all sorts of visitors.
Phase two – Lifestyle Shop:
The Life Retreat Shop stocks a wide range of organic, high-quality and natural products from food and homeware to skincare and clothing. The shop also stocks a wide range of health and outdoor accessories along with kiddies items and tech and computer gadgets. It really is a one stop shop for all your needs as the team aim to cater to all ages and genders when curating their products for the shop.
While there are many imported items, the Taylor duo aim to support local business and will stock many locally sourced products. Should something you’ve seen or liked not be available instore, the team will work tirelessly to source just what you need and are looking for. They can and will play the role of personal shoppers.

Phase three – Spiral Aloe Health Spa
The Spiral Aloe Health Spa is an integrated health and wellness spa conceptualized by the former head of the Nelson Mandela Foundation and founding member of TEACH South Africa, Dr Mothomang Diaho.
Dr Diaho has worked as a public Health Practitioner for more than 29 years and is dedicated to promoting lifestyle as a medicine.
The Taylor duo is not the only mother-daughter team at The Health Hub. Dr Diaho has combined forces with her own daughter, Nthabiseng, to bring this special health spa to life. Spiral Aloe plays a significant role in the health and wellness industry and the team have combined their knowledge and expertise to offer anti-ageing and weight-loss services as well as a full variety of wellness and spa treatments.
The Health Hub’s main aim is to support local community and inspire visitors from around the world to experience the beautiful surroundings at Lourensford Wine Estate. The Health Hub is open seven (7) days a week and our friendly staff are on hand to help you with all your health and wellness requirements.
